Rush To The Rattler - 11th October 2026- Gold Mining Museum to Gympie Historic Station

Get ready for an unforgettable day of fun and fitness at the third annual Gympie Lions Rush to the Rattler! Mark your calendars for Sunday, October 11, 2026, and lace up your running shoes for a morning full of energy, community spirit, and scenic views.

Event Details:

• Date: Sunday, October 11, 2026
• Time: Check-in from 6 AM, first race kicks off at 6:30 AM

• Location: Start at the Gold Mining Museum and finish at Historic Gympie Station on Tozer Street

Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just looking for a fun walk, there are three course options to choose from:

• 3km (walk-friendly and great for families)
• 5km (designed for runners)
• 10km (a challenge for keen runners)

After crossing the finish line, enjoy your included sausage on bread and a bottle of water at Historic Gympie Station. Additional drinks, coffee, and food items will be available for purchase on the day. Then, hop aboard the Silver Bullet train for a scenic ride back to Monkland Station, followed by a comfortable walk back to the Gold Mining Museum.

Souvenir hats are also available to pre-purchase for $25 on the next page. These can be collected at registration on the morning of the event.

This is a fantastic family-friendly event that’s sure to create lasting memories. Don’t forget your water bottle, sunscreen, and hat to stay sun-safe. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
