Step aboard the Gold Rush Express and journey back to the days when Gympie was one of Australia's richest goldfields.

Departing from Historic Gympie Station, the Gold Rush Express will travel through the picturesque Mary Valley to historic Amamoor Station before returning to Gympie on a memorable three-hour heritage adventure.

As part of the return of the Gympie Gold Rush Festival, this special event celebrates the pioneering spirit, determination and colourful characters that helped shape our region. Throughout the journey, talented actors from Perseverance Street Theatre Company will bring the Gold Rush era to life with entertaining skits, lively storytelling and interactive performances as they roam throughout the train in authentic period costume.

Dress in your best Gold Rush attire if you wish and immerse yourself in the sights, stories and spirit of the 1800s. Whether you're a history enthusiast, looking for a unique family day out or simply wanting to celebrate Gympie's rich heritage, the Gold Rush Express offers an unforgettable experience for all ages.

Tickets are available with or without meals.

Meals include one bottled water and will be served at Historic Gympie Station prior to departure for you to enjoy during your journey.

• Check-in closes 30 minutes prior to departure

• Travelling with another party on a separate booking? Please include "Travelling with..." in the Special Requirements section during booking so we can seat your groups together where possible.

Children under 2 years of age travel free when not occupying a seat. However, they must still be included in your booking by selecting the "Under 2" ticket type. If you would like a guaranteed seat for a child under 2 years of age, please book a Child fare.

Children under 2 years of age do not receive a meal or bottled water. All children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a paying adult.
